Registration opens on 9/1/2026 and closes on 10/23/2026. Club members are instructed to register using the GO FAR Club 5K option and later select their school or club. Club members who register for the one-mile event may cause confusion with club participation and race-day check-in. Parents of GO FAR Club Members should register using the GO FAR Club 5K option rather than the community runner option.
The event is described as the finale to an eight-week program in which children and families from more than 40 Triad schools and community clubs train together. Participant amenities listed by the organizer include a loop-style course for viewing and cheering, cheer squads along the route, a GO FAR cotton t-shirt guaranteed if registered by the Early Bird deadline, a finisher medal for registered runners with a BIB, a finisher token for one-mile participants with a BIB, plentiful course support, and free admission to race day family festivities.
