Warren Rives Heart to Heart 5K
The Warren Rives Heart to Heart 5K is an annual community event held in High Point, North Carolina. The event takes place at Truist Point and serves to support Heart Strides, a medically directed cardiac-pulmonary rehabilitation program. This program provides heart health instruction, supervised fitness, and nutritional support for community members who have experienced cardiac or pulmonary events.
The event features two primary participation options:
- 5K
- Kids' Dash
The Kids' Dash is open to participants aged 10 and under and offers a unique experience where children run around the bases at Rockers Stadium. Medals are awarded to participants at the finish line of the dash. Before the main running events, a mascot race features local team mascots competing on the stadium bases.
The 5K race includes competitive awards for the top three male and female overall winners. Additionally, awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in several age categories, ranging from under-19 to 70 and over.
Participants can pick up their race packets at High Point Medical Center or Fleet Feet on the days leading up to the event. Parking is available at 214 Lindsay Street and the surrounding areas near Rockers Stadium. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
