Tri Pike 2026
Tri Pike is a multisport event held in Pikeville, Kentucky, featuring a variety of distance and format options. The competition includes a sprint distance triathlon, duathlon, aquabike, and aquathlon, alongside a dedicated 5k trail run. Participants can compete individually or in co-ed, female, or male relay teams.
The triathlon event consists of a 300 meter swim in a six-lane, 25-meter YMCA pool. This is followed by a 20 kilometer (12 mile) bike ride through Historical Downtown Pikeville. The final segment is a 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) trail run on the Blue Chip Trail. For the duathlon, the initial swim is replaced by a 1.6 kilometer (1 mile) track run.
As a USA Triathlon sanctioned event, participants must obtain a one-day license. For safety, helmets are mandatory during the cycling portion, and no passing is permitted when descending Bob Amos Hill. The bike course remains open to vehicular traffic, requiring all participants to follow standard traffic laws.
