Event overview
Conquer The Wall Endurance Challenge is an early March 2026 multi-day endurance event in Williamson, West Virginia. The event offers two timed formats: a 47-hour challenge and a 35-hour challenge. Entrants may compete individually (solo) or in relay teams of two or three. The event is limited to 250 participants. Participants receive a finisher item and awards at multiple mileage thresholds, including belt buckles for reaching 50+ or 100+ miles.
Venue and course
The event takes place on the campus of Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College in Williamson, WV. The course is a flat, paved 2.05 mile loop along the West Williamson flood wall and the college. The course is open to local traffic and passes small subdivisions and apartments. Porta potties are available at each end of the flood wall near the start/finish area.
Timing, rucking and rules
Laps are tracked with an ankle bracelet timing device that must be worn on the right leg at all times and is counted when crossing the timing mat. At the 50-mile mark participants may change running direction. A rucking division requires a 25 lb rucksack; ruck weights will be checked before the race, every six hours, and after the race.
Logistics and services
On-site food and hydration include water, Gatorade, pickle juice, Pedialyte, breakfast items, hot meals, vegan options and snacks. Limited indoor lodging (cots) is available for 30 people; camping is allowed on campus. Volunteers work 4-hour shifts and receive a long sleeve volunteer shirt.
