The 2026 Hillbilly Half Race Series - Run for the Kids takes place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, in Pikeville, Kentucky. The first half of the half marathon (the 10K portion) runs on pavement and sidewalks through the downtown area. The half marathon route also includes a trail section with inclines; the route is described as wide paths that are either paved or gravel and not hiking-type terrain. Each participant receives a t-shirt or tank top and a unique Hillbilly family medal; the 2026 medal is the third in the series. The race is timed.
