TRI for FUN Triathlon and DU for FUN Duathlon
The TRI for FUN series returns to Rancho Seco Park in Herald, California for its 43rd year with events on June 7, July 12 and August 9, 2026. The series is organized by TBF Racing and continues a tradition that began in 1983.
The venue features a lake swim, a road bike course and a dirt trail run. Race amenities include a finisher medal for all racers, post race refreshments and commemorative race t-shirts available for purchase for $20 if ordered before June 1. Awards are presented by age and category across both events.
Divisions include standard 10-year age groups for the triathlon, overall awards for the duathlon, Athena and Clydesdale categories, male, female and coed relays, and a challenged division. Relay teams receive awards in three divisions.
Entry policies note a no refund policy; refunds requested before race week are issued as race credit minus a $25 processing fee. Transfers between TBF Racing events are allowed within one year for a $25 fee. Events are held rain or shine. Park parking now carries a $15 per car fee; exact change is preferred.
