Tri Cooter Sprint Triathlon
The Tri Cooter Sprint Triathlon takes place on October 31, 2026 in Inverness, Florida at 328 E. Dampier Street and is part of the Great American Cooter Festival. The course is flat. Custom finisher medals are provided to all participants.
Distances for the event set include:
- Triathlon: Swim 0.25 mile, Bike 12 miles, Run 3 miles.
- Duathlon: Run 1 mile, Bike 12 miles, Run 3 miles.
- Aquabike: Swim 0.25 mile, Bike 12 miles, Run through the finish line.
Registration opens August 25, 2026 and closes September 1, 2026. Standard registration fee is $79.00 and the relay team fee is $158.00. Packet pickup is day of race only at the race site. A USAT card and a picture ID must be presented at packet pickup.
Event categories include Age Group, Athena (women 165 lb and over), Clydesdale (men 220 lb and over), Novice, Adaptive, Non-Competitive, Relay teams (mixed, 2-3 members), Duathlon and Aquabike. Awards are structured per category: Age Group awards are three deep in five year groups; other categories have top three awards as noted and some events name top three male and top three female finishers.
