About the race
Croom Zoom on January 2, 2027 is a trail running event held at Croom Park in Brooksville, FL, inside the Withlacoochee State Forest. The courses use established trails that wind through oak hammocks and under a tree canopy typical of Florida forest terrain.
The main running trail is a 10 mile loop. The 50K uses that loop plus a starter loop. Courses are distinct from other local events and are set entirely on the park trail system.

Aid stations are placed at approximately five mile intervals. Stations provide water, sports drink, gels, and some food. Because the event is looped, runners in the 50K and 20 Mile races can access the main staging area during the race and retrieve drop bags.
Race packets may be picked up the Friday evening before the race from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the start finish area, and packet pickup is also available the morning of the event. The event limits total entries to 250 runners with a separate limit of 130 for the 10 Mile field. T shirts are guaranteed for pre registered runners; race day registrants may receive a shirt but it is not guaranteed.
All finishers receive finisher awards. There are ten year age group awards and trophies for overall male and female winners. The event is organized by Tampa Races.com. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
