Trek or Treat
Trek or Treat is a community 5K event held at Boundary Waters Park in Douglasville, Georgia during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The event raises awareness and resources for local domestic violence support organizations and is organized in partnership with local community groups and the district attorney's office.
The course is USATF certified and serves as an official Peachtree Road Race qualifier. The event offers multiple participation options: an in-person 5K, a virtual 5K, and a phantom registration option that donates an entry to a domestic violence survivor. Every registration includes a sponsored training plan.
Registration opens July 1 and the standard registration fee is $35. Participants who register before September 30 are guaranteed their chosen shirt size. The first 150 registrants will receive race swag on event day; remaining registrants and virtual participants will have shirts and swag mailed after the event. The donated-entry option is explicitly intended to provide a race entry to a domestic violence survivor.
The description focuses on location, course certification, participation formats, registration features, and the event purpose of supporting local domestic violence services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
