11th Annual Dashing through the Square 5K Run/Walk
The event is an 11th annual 5K Run and Walk held in Marietta Square, Marietta, Georgia (50 N Park Square, 30006). It offers timed and untimed in-person entries and a virtual 5K option that can be completed from any location. The virtual entry includes shipping and handling as part of registration.
This Northside Hospital Peachtree qualifying race uses electronic chip timing for accurate results. The course passes historic homes and the shops that line Marietta Square. All 5K participants receive a runner's t-shirt and a commemorative medal is given to all finishers. Award medals are presented to first and second place male and female finishers in these age groups: 17 and under; 18-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70-79; and 80 and over.
Proceeds support youth enrichment programs and other community initiatives benefiting Cobb County. The event is presented by The PEARL Foundation, Inc. Information about parking around Marietta Square is available locally; some parking lots require payment by credit card only. Registrations are offered in multiple price tiers and periods for 5K Timed, 5K Untimed, and 5K Virtual entries.
