The Trapp Lodge Mountain Marathon is a trail running event at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont on October 17, 2026. The event offers the following distances:
- Full marathon: two loops of the 13.1 mile course
- Half marathon: one loop of the 13.1 mile course
Entry includes an event shirt, a race packet, and post-race food. Prizes are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers in each distance. Participants must check in on Saturday morning so organizers can account for starters.
Course and race services
The 13.1 mile loop combines winding single track, dirt and gravel roads, and a scrambling climb to the summit of Round Top Mountain. Runners will gain and lose about 1900 ft of elevation per loop, approximately 3800 ft for the full marathon. The course is roughly two thirds double-track and dirt roads and one third serpentine single track. Aid stations are located at about miles 4 and 9, with an additional aid and drop bag location at the halfway point for full marathon runners. The race is cup-free; runners must carry a bottle, pack, or collapsible cup. Restrooms are available at the Cabin Aid Station and at the start/finish area.
