Trapp Cabin Trail Races - Stowe, VT
The Trapp Cabin Trail Races are held annually at the von Trapp Family Outdoor Center in Stowe, Vermont. The event offers trail courses of multiple distances on trails that are not usually open to the general public. The races are organized by Green Mountain Adaptive Sports and serve as a fundraiser for the nonprofit.

Racers follow Sugar Road and proceed onto Russel Knoll Track. The 10 km course continues on Chris’s Run to the Cabin and uses single-track trails named Growler, Tapline, and Lodge Spur to reach the finish. The half marathon repeats the 10 km loop. The 5 km route diverts onto Old County Road before joining Tapline and Lodge Spur for the finish. Trail maps are provided for the 5 km and the 10 km loop; the half marathon covers two laps of the longer loop.
Registration opens February 1 and closes on September 20 at 5:00 pm ET. Day-of registration is available. Fee ranges are listed for youth and adult entries, with higher rates for day-of registration. Run the Day is used for registration and timing and cell service can be spotty in the race field. All participants receive a participation medal; top finishers receive awards and the top three in each category receive pairs of Darn Tough socks. Free refreshments and restrooms at the Outdoor Center are available. Volunteers are requested for registration and course support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
