Trapp Cabin Trail Races
The Trapp Cabin Trail Races are held annually at the von Trapp Family Outdoor Center in Stowe, Vermont. The event is a fundraiser for a nonprofit organization and takes place on trails that are not usually open to the public. The half marathon regularly attracts a large field of runners from across New England.

Runners follow Sugar Road onto Russel Knoll Track. Ten kilometer runners continue on Chris's Run to the Cabin and then follow the single-track trails Growler, Tapline, and Lodge Spur to the finish. Half marathon entrants run the longer loop twice. Five kilometer runners divert onto Old County Road and join Tapline and Lodge Spur to the finish. Trail maps are provided for the 5 km and the 10 km loop.
Registration is managed through Run the Day and includes online and day of race options. Registration opens February 1 and closes the day before the event at 5 pm Eastern. Fees are listed in tiers, with youth and adult day of rates higher than preregistration prices. Participants pick up bibs and sign a race release on race day.
Medal presentations are given to the top female and male runners in each distance; the top three finishers in each category receive a prize. All participants receive a participation medal, and refreshments and restrooms are available for attendees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
