Trapp Cabin Trail Races : Stowe, Vermont
The Trapp Cabin Trail Races are an annual event held at the von Trapp Family Outdoor Center in Stowe, Vermont. The event features trail courses of varying lengths that are not usually open to the public and serves as a fundraiser for Green Mountain Adaptive Sports. Distances offered
- 5 km - Diverts onto Old County Road, joining Tapline and Lodge Spur to the finish.
- 10 km - Follows Sugar Road and Russel Knoll Track then Chris's Run and single-track trails to finish.
- Half marathon - Two laps of the 10.5 km loop; typically attracts over 150 racers from New England.
Registration opens February 1 and closes September 19. Day of registration is available and fees vary by age and timing of registration. The event uses the Run the Day platform for registration and timing. Participants pick up bibs and sign a release form prior to racing.
Awards and services include medal presentations for top female and male runners per distance, Darn Tough socks for the top three finishers in each category, participation medals for all entrants, and free refreshments and snacks.
