Transplant Trot
The Transplant Trot is an annual running and walking event held in Greenville, South Carolina. The race takes place on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, with the main staging area located at Holland Park. This event aims to raise awareness for organ donation and provides financial assistance to local transplant recipients and their families.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5K race
- 1 mile fun run and walk
All proceeds generated from the event are donated to the Prisma Health Patient Assistance Fund. This fund directly supports patients currently on their transplant journey by providing necessary resources and assistance. The event serves as a platform for transplant recipients and donors to share their experiences with the community.
The race environment is family-oriented and includes additional on-site features such as food trucks, entertainment, and specific activities designed for children. Registration is open to all interest levels, and participants can also contribute through separate donations or by becoming individual fundraisers. Packet pickup is organized at the event location prior to the start of the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
