Entry periods, fees and key policies
Early bird, standard and late pricing apply with deadlines published for fee changes and final entry closure. Example fees shown include: 6 km (Early AUD 69 / Std 79 / Late 89), 12 km (Early 99 / Std 109 / Late 119), 28 km (Early 249 / Std 269 / Late 289), 40 km (Early 299 / Std 324 / Late 349), and 65 km ultra (Early 419 / Std 444 / Late 469). Team relay fees vary by team size.
Participants may purchase event insurance via XCover at 10% of the entry cost; XCover manages refund requests. Transcend Trails does not process refunds or deferrals directly but allows transfers of entries to another person or like team up until 9 August 2026. Transfers between categories may require payment of any fee gap; transfers to lower-fee categories do not receive refunds. Team composition changes are allowed until the event briefing and gathering on 21 August 2026, with original merchandise and bib name allocations retained.
If the event is unsafe or cannot be held, organisers will endeavour to reschedule with entries carried over; if rescheduling is impossible they will endeavour to refund a portion of entry fees based on expenses incurred. Transcend Trails reserves the right to alter published courses.
Under-18 participation
Under-18 competitors may enter the 65 km ultra or team events subject to specific requirements. Multiple-leg participants whose total distance exceeds 20 km must show a 20 km run in under 3.5 hours within six weeks of the race and submit an 8-week training program and diary for approval seven days before the event. Under-18s attempting the full 65 km must provide evidence of at least two off-road training runs of three hours within three months (average pace faster than 13 min/km), a 12-week training program and diary, a hydration and nutrition plan, a support crew, and a pre-race discussion with organisers and parents.
