Yaberoo Trail Twilight Ultra

The Yaberoo Trail Twilight Ultra takes place on the Yaberoo Budjara Heritage Trail, starting from the Burns Beach Road end in Joondalup, Western Australia. The course follows a historic path through northern coastal bushland, heading north and returning to the event village. The environment consists of groomed trails.

Participants can choose from several distances:

  • 50 km (minimum age 18)
  • 25 km (minimum age 10)
  • 15 km (minimum age 10)
  • 10 km (minimum age 6)
  • 5 km (minimum age 6)

The event follows a twilight format with a final cut-off for all distances at midnight. Manned aid stations are located at specific intervals along the course, including Hester Ave, Rheinhold Place, and the start/finish area. These stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, soda, fruit, and snacks. This is a single-use plastic-free event, so runners must carry their own collapsible cup or vessel.

Mandatory gear for most distances includes a mobile phone with the event number saved, a headlamp, and a minimum of 500 ml of water. Runners in the shorter 5 km and 10 km events are only required to carry a headlamp and a reusable cup or flask. Parking is available around Windermere Oval, with strict regulations prohibiting parking on Burns Beach Road. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
