MVP Backyard Ultra - Maribyrnong Valley Park
The MVP Backyard Ultra is scheduled for Fri 6th Feb to Mon 9th Feb 2026 at Brimbank Park, Keilor VIC 3036. The event uses the backyard ultra format: participants run a loop of 6.7 km each hour and must complete the loop within the hour to continue. After each completed hour, all remaining participants are recorded as tied for first place; the overall winner is the last person remaining.
Distances and entry options
The event offers entry options with limited-lap choices and an open unlimited option. The named options are:
- 4 Yards - 25 km
- 7 Yards - 42 km (marathon)
- 15 Yards - 100 km
- Open - unlimited laps
Registration opens Wed 10th September. Pricing is tiered by date ranges: a special opening price on 10th Sep, Early (11th Sep – 11th Nov), Standard (12th Nov – 11th Jan), and Late (12th Jan – 6th Feb). Prices vary by entry option; for the Open option listed across tiers the fees are $180, $220, $250 and $280 respectively. Humanitix booking fees are added at checkout.

Trailsplus reports total donations to Canteen have surpassed $80,000; for the 2025 event there were 180 competitors and a combined $250 donation to Canteen (including $70 in online runner donations).
