About the race
The 2XU Triathlon Series Race 1 takes place at Elwood Park, Elwood on Sunday 6 December 2026. The event offers multiple race categories with specified minimum ages and course distances.
Distances and age categories:
- Sprint Series (minimum age 15): 500m swim / 20km bike / 5km run
- Fun Tri (minimum age 12): 150m swim / 7km bike / 1.2km run
- Tri Kids (age 7–11): 100m swim / 3km bike / 500m run
Entry pricing (inclusive of GST and booking fees) is listed per category, with Sprint individual entry at $119, Fun Tri individual at $79, and Tri Kids individual at $46; team and other pricing apply for some categories. Prices increase by $10 on Wednesday 2 December at 12:00pm and registrations close at 4:00pm on Friday 4 December unless sold out. A $10 late fee applies from 12:00pm on Wednesday 2 December and there are no event day registrations. E-guides, wave start information and eTickets are provided to participants in race week, and event kit collection is available the day before and the morning of the race.
Triathlon Australia membership is mandatory; one-day memberships are available at different costs depending on category. Some sprint and elite categories are draft legal as specified. Beach Road will be closed between St Kilda St and Kerferd Rd during the race and managed crossings and resident access arrangements will be in place.
