Sacramento Mountains Ultra Series
The Sacramento Mountains Ultra Series is a three-race mountain series based in Cloudcroft, New Mexico (village elevation about 8,676 ft). The series runs over summer to fall and is offered in two options: a longer Skyline Series and a shorter Ridgeline Series. Series registration is limited to 50 runners. A shuttle is included with series registration. The Skyline Series registration fees listed are $310 through Dec 31, 2025 and $350 after Jan 1, 2026. The Ridgeline Series registration fees listed are $220 through Dec 31, 2025 and $260 after Jan 1, 2026. The top overall male and female finishers of the Skyline Series earn the King and Queen of the Sacramento Mountains titles.

Trails & Rails, the June 13 component, starts and finishes at the Trestle Recreation Area at the junction of Hwy 82 and 130 in Cloudcroft. The 8-mile course uses historic railroad grades, old highway segments, and single-track through forest, with about 1,350 feet of elevation gain and loss. The route provides views down to the Tularosa Basin roughly 4,000 feet below. The series material notes varied high-elevation terrain across events, including fir, pine, and aspen forests and significant elevation changes.
