Trails & Rails - Cloudcroft, NM
Trails & Rails is an 8 mile mountain trail race based at the Trestle Recreation Area in Cloudcroft. The route follows historic railroad beds, an old highway grade, and sections of single track through fir and spruce forest. Past editions list approximately 1,350 ft of elevation gain and loss for the 8 mile course. The course runs above the Tularosa Basin and offers views down to the basin roughly 4,000 ft below.
