Trailblazer Race 2026
The Trailblazer Race is the 32nd annual community running and walking event in Mountain View, CA. Races use the Stevens Creek Trail and Shoreline Park and feature courses described as scenic, fast and flat with views of wildlife, salt ponds, and surrounding mountains.
Event distances include:
- 10K
- 5K
- 3-mile (5K) walk
- Kids 1-mile fun run
The event includes a festival area with snacks, exhibits, prize drawings, and free kids activities for ages up to 10. Children who run receive a prize or souvenir; free events do not include T-shirts. A waiver is required for children participating in the 1-mile fun run, and parents must remain with their children and follow organizer announcements on race day.
Proceeds benefit Friends of Stevens Creek Trail, a 501(c)(3) organization working to extend the Stevens Creek Trail and wildlife corridor. Paid participants receive a custom event T-shirt, a participation medal, refreshments, and a prize drawing ticket. 5K and 10K participants receive official chipped timing, a downloadable finisher certificate, and finish-line photos. No refunds.
Additional notes from the organizer: early packet pickup is available for registrations completed by September 23, 2026, with pickup scheduled for Friday 9/25 and Saturday 9/26; location and times are to be confirmed. Dogs are prohibited in the park areas. Strollers are allowed on the asphalt courses if participants stay with their pace group; double-wide strollers are not recommended.
