About the race
The Trailblazer Race in Mountain View is an annual community running and outdoor event held at Shoreline Park Kite Flying Area, 2905 N Shoreline Blvd, Mountain View, CA 94043. The event includes multiple course options and family-oriented activities, and proceeds benefit the Friends of Stevens Creek Trail, a nonprofit that supports extension and protection of the Stevens Creek Trail and surrounding wildlife corridor.
Race offerings:
- 10K scenic, fast and flat running course
- 5K scenic, fast and flat running course
- 3-mile walk round trip north on Stevens Creek Trail
- Kids 1-mile fun run with a required waiver
The course starts and ends on the Stevens Creek Trail and passes into Shoreline Park with views of wildlife, salt ponds, and surrounding bay mountains. Dogs are prohibited in Shoreline Park and Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge areas. The 5K and 10K courses use asphalt and are stroller friendly when runners remain with their pace group; double-wide strollers are not recommended.
All paid participants receive a custom event T-shirt, participation medal, refreshments, and a prize drawing ticket. 5K and 10K registrants also receive online chipped timing results, a downloadable finisher certificate, and finish line photos. Age-division medals are awarded and there are overall awards for the 5K and 10K. T-shirt size is guaranteed for registrations received by August 30. No refunds are offered.
