About the race
Trailblaze 5 Miler is a community running and walking event presented by Good Pickin’ Farm and the Westford Firefighters Association at Good Pickin’ Farm in Westford, MA.
The main course is a scenic 5-mile trail that passes through wooded farm trails, open fields and pastures, and areas with views of the farm and its animals, including historic apple trees. The route is a natural trail surface and may include uneven ground, roots, rocks, hills, and changing trail conditions.
Event distances:
- 5 Miles: 5 mile trail run, runners only
- 2.5 Miles: Walk or run, walkers and runners welcome
- 1K: Kids run for age 12 and under
Race registration includes one ticket to the petting zoo. A race T-shirt is offered and registration completed before the T-shirt deadline guarantees a shirt. Awards are presented following the 5 Miler.
Post-event activities at the farm include a petting zoo, lawn games, and a sandbox play area. The event emphasizes local partnership and bringing community members, families, neighbors, runners, walkers, and first responders together at the farm.
