The Millennium Mile is a point-to-point road race held in Londonderry, New Hampshire on New Year’s Day. The course is a downhill 1 mile that begins on Mammoth Road in front of Londonderry High School, runs south, and finishes at the corner of Mammoth and Peabody Row.
The event uses a two-wave start to reduce congestion and improve safety, with a corral break at 9:00 minutes per mile to separate faster competitive runners from recreational and family participants. Early bib pickup is offered at the Millennium Running retail store on New Year’s Eve, and race day bib pickup and registration occur at Londonderry High School parking areas. Event parking is provided in the high school lots and at Matthew Thornton Elementary School.
Hats are limited to the first 1,200 combined in-person and virtual registrants. Registration items include a winter hat (subject to the limit), free digital race photos provided by a sponsor, and a finish line video link sent after the event. Post-race refreshments include water, fresh bananas, and yogurt; a beer ticket is redeemable at a local brewery.
Official results and free race photos are published online after the event. Awards are given to top overall men and women, to top age-group finishers across standard age categories, and to boys and girls by individual age from 3 to 12. The event lists charitable partners and title sponsors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
