About the race
Trail Run at Sly Park – Summer takes place in the Sly Park Recreation Area (Pollock Pines), with all races starting at the Scales Parking Lot and longer distances finishing at the Waterfall Trailhead. Distances include 5K, 10K, 8 Mile, Half Marathon, 17 Mile, Trail Marathon, and 50K, capped at 100 runners per day. The course winds through Jenkinson Lake’s pine forests and horse trails, mostly single track with some pavement, starting with a short downhill, then a steep climb, followed by rolling sections, rocks and roots.
Longer distances use loops and two aid stations, ending with a medal. Parking has a $5 day-use fee; new start/finish setup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
