Trail Days Half Marathon
The Trail Days Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile out-and-back race on the Virginia Creeper Trail in Damascus, Virginia, held as part of the Trail Days festival. The course follows the Creeper Trail and will be professionally timed by the event timer.
A 3-hour time limit applies as requested by the Town of Damascus and the Creeper Trail. Participants who take longer than 3 hours may no longer have active traffic control and could be required to use sidewalks. The timing system will remain in operation until the last runner crosses the finish line.
An early-start option is available for participants who expect to exceed the 3-hour time limit; this option is intended specifically for those slower runners and is not intended for other reasons. Relay teams are not permitted to use the early start. Organizers indicate early starters should be able to finish by roughly 3 hours 15 minutes.
Entry fee information and registration windows are set for the event; the published registration fee for the half marathon is $50. Shirts and finisher awards are provided for participants.
