Bridge & Trestle 17 Mile Run
The Bridge & Trestle 17 Mile Run is scheduled for Saturday, December 12, 2026, in Damascus, Virginia, on the Virginia Creeper Trail. The event covers 17 miles and will be run entirely on the trail; the exact course will be determined closer to the race date.
The run is a free event hosted by the State of Franklin Track Club and is included in the Club’s Trail Series and Long Distance Series competitions. Race day packet pickup will be available. To reduce waste, the event will use no disposable cups; collapsible cups will be provided at packet pickup and runners may use their own hydration systems at aid stations. Hot beverages and snacks will be available at the finish.
Traditional awards are not given. Instead, the overall male and female finishers, the competitor who finishes in the middle of the pack, and the final finisher receive a handmade memento. For this year the memento will be a zippered shoe bag bearing the State of Franklin Track Club logo. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
