Bridge & Trestle 17 Mile Run : December 2026
The Bridge & Trestle 17 Mile Run is scheduled for December 2026 and takes place on the Virginia Creeper Trail in Damascus, VA. The run will be entirely on the trail; the exact course alignment will be determined closer to the event date.
Packet pickup occurs on race day and the event will follow a cup-less policy to reduce trail litter. Collapsible, easy-to-carry cups will be available at packet pickup for use at the aid stations, and participants may use their own hydration systems. Hot beverages and snacks will be available at the finish area.
The event is free and is hosted by the State of Franklin Track Club. It is included in the club’s Trail Series and Long Distance Series competitions. Traditional awards are not issued; instead, handmade mementos are given to the overall male and female finishers, the participant who finishes in the middle of the pack, and the final finisher. For this year the mementos are zippered shoe bags featuring the State of Franklin Track Club logo.
