Event
The Bridge & Trestle 17-mile Run is scheduled for December 2026 in Damascus, Virginia. The route is entirely on the Virginia Creeper Trail. The event is hosted by the State of Franklin Track Club and is part of the club’s Trail Series and Long Distance Series competitions. Registration opens April 29, 2026 at 8:00 AM EDT and there is no entry fee (price listed as $0).
Logistics and awards
Race day packet pickup begins at 8:30 AM. The event will be cup-less; collapsible cups will be available at packet pickup for use at aid stations, and participants may use their own hydration systems. Hot beverages and snacks will be available at the finish. Traditional awards are not given; handmade mementos will be presented to the overall male and female, the middle finisher, and the final finisher. This year the memento is a zippered shoe bag with the State of Franklin Track Club logo. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
