Track Restoration Fund Run 10k
The Track Restoration Fund Run 10k is a multi-terrain race organized by the Crossgates Harriers Running Club to support the maintenance and restoration of the running track at Temple Newsam in Leeds. All funds raised from the event are used to help maintain the facility for the benefit of the local community. The race has an entry limit of 500 participants and uses chip timing to record results.
The course is undulating and consists of a single lap starting at the Temple Newsam running track. Participants begin with a full lap of the track before the route ventures into the wider grounds of the estate. The terrain is a mixture of footpaths and woodland trails. At the halfway point, located at the top of The Avenue, the route offers a view of Temple Newsam house. Runners continue through the estate before returning to the track for the finish.
Facilities available at the event include water stations, distance markers, toilets, and baggage storage. There are no changing facilities or showers available on site. All finishers receive a medal. Note that the multi-terrain nature of the course makes it unsuitable for wheelchair athletes.
