Track Race Series - Sandown
Ryde Harriers are running a summer track race series at the Fairway Sandown, with one meeting approximately each month from May to September. Events use a free online entry portal so organisers can collect estimated finish times; online pre-entry closes 24 hours before each race. Entry on the day is accepted but online registration is preferred.
If sufficient entries are received, multiple seeded races will be held each evening based on estimated finish times. Race numbers are collected from the track-side cabin and competitors must register with officials at the track. Club T-shirts or vests are to be worn. Non-Ryde Harriers may compete as guest runners for a contribution of £1.50 payable at number collection. There are no prizes.
The series currently does not have a track licence, so results will not be submitted to Power of 10 unless this changes. UKA Rule 141 S2 maximum track distances by age will apply and are the responsibility of the competing club. Minimum-age notes for track distances are given, for example U13 not exceeding one mile, U15 not exceeding 3000m, U17 not exceeding 5000m, U20 not exceeding 10000m.
