Track Race Series at The Fairway Sandown
Ryde Harriers are hosting a track race series at The Fairway Sandown as part of the club summer programme. Races are scheduled approximately once a month from April to September and are open to guest runners from other island clubs.
Registration is requested via a free online entry portal so estimated finish times can be collected. Entry on the day is accepted but online pre entry is preferred. Pre entry lists close 24 hours before each race. Race numbers are collected from the track side cabin and competitors must also register with officials track side. Club T shirts or vests should be worn. Non Ryde Harriers are asked to contribute £1.50 per evening at number collection as a contribution to track hire. There are no prizes.
Race dates and distances:
- 30 April 2026 - 5,000m (15 and over)
- 21 May 2026 - 3,000m (13 and over)
- 25 June 2026 - 10,000m IOW Championship (17 and over)
- 30 July 2026 - 5,000m IOW Championship (15 and over)
- 27 August 2026 - 3,000m (13 and over)
- 24 September 2026 - 1 mile and 4x400m relay (any age)
UKA Rule 141 S2 maximum track distances by age will apply and are the responsibility of the competing club. At present the races do not have a track licence so results will not be submitted to Power of 10. Toilets and free parking are available at the venue.
