Event overview
The Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge takes place on 2 - 3 May 2026 and uses a Chale basecamp. The event follows the Isle of Wight coastal path, including southern cliffs, the Needles, Cowes, and Ventnor. The organiser expects up to 2,000 participants and offers options to walk, jog, or run. The route is fully signed with GPS tracking available through an event app. Marquee rest stops are provided about every 12.5 km, with larger services every 25 km. Medical, podiatry, and massage teams attend rest stops, and catering is provided with snacks every 12.5 km and main meals every 25 km. Camping, parking, shuttle transfers, and optional campsite at Cowes are available.

The full continuous 106 km route lists about 1,800 m of climb. Half and other options list climbs of about 900 m (52/54 km), ~1,300 m (82 km), and ~1,025 m (50 km). Finishers receive a medal, finisher T-shirt, and a glass of fizz, and an official certificate is available for download.
Categories and entry
Entry can be self-funded or charity-funded with multiple registration models. Additional categories include an Ultra March walking category and a Trailblazerz competitive running category with set target times and separate starts. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
