Event

TPA's 5K on the Runway takes place April 11, 2026 in Tampa, FL. The event includes the following distances:

5K Runway Run
5K Virtual 5K (participants run on their own course; shirt and finisher medal are mailed in April)

Participants run on the airport runway 10-28. Spectators are welcome at no additional cost. The event provides a race shirt and free parking.

Details

Registration opens January 15, 2026 and is limited to the first 2,000 participants. There is no onsite registration. Bib and shirt pickup are available on April 7, April 8, and on race day (April 11).

The run benefits United Way Suncoast, an organization that supports community outreach programs in the Tampa Bay area. All children must be able to complete the course on their own; no strollers or baby carriers are permitted.
