TPA's 5K on the Runway : Tampa, FL
TPA's 5K on the Runway is scheduled for April 3, 2027, in Tampa. The event offers an in-person chip timed race on an airport runway and a virtual 3.1 mile option. Registration opens January 15, 2027; the in-person entry fee is $60 and the virtual entry fee is $30. Registration is limited to the first 2,000 participants and there is no onsite registration.

Free parking is available in designated areas of Hillsborough Community College at 4001 W. Tampa Bay Blvd. Stadium style security screening by TSA will be in place at event entrances and only small bags are allowed. Race results are chip timed and will be posted on Runsignup and secondwindtiming.com.
Awards include certificates granting free registration for the top three men and women in multiple age divisions (19-24 through 80+) and trophies for overall top finishers, the overall wheelchair participant, and youth division top three finishers by gender. The race is non-refundable and non-transferable. Food will be available from WayPointeTPA. Spectators are welcome at no additional cost. All children must be able to complete the course independently; strollers and baby carriers are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
