TPA's Runway 5K
TPA's Runway 5K is staged on airport property near Tampa Bay Boulevard and Dale Mabry in Tampa, FL. The in-person event uses an operational runway for the course and provides free parking in designated areas at Hillsborough Community College, 4001 W. Tampa Bay Blvd. TSA will conduct stadium-style security checks at the entrance; only small bags are allowed.
Distances:
- 5K in-person, chip timed.
- 3.1 miles virtual option, results submitted remotely.
The in-person 5K is chip timed and results are posted online. Awards include trophies for overall top three men and women, awards for the overall wheelchair participant, and top-three awards in youth divisions (9 & under, 10-13, 14-18). Certificates that include free registration for the following year are available to the top three men and women in multiple age divisions (19-24 through 80+).
Virtual participants run on a course of their choosing and receive event apparel and a finisher medal by mail. Registration fees are listed separately for the in-person and virtual entries. The event is non-refundable and non-transferable. All children must be able to complete the course independently; strollers and baby carriers are not permitted.
