Townsville's Magnetic 30in30
Townsville's Magnetic 30in30 is a signature multi day marathon event presented by Independent Runner Events and held on The Strand in Townsville, Queensland. The course is AIMS Certified and runs from the Townsville Picnic Bay Surf Lifesaving Club area. Facilities near the start and finish include toilets beside the basketball court and several drinking water fountains located along the course.
The series offers multiple participation formats over consecutive days with options for runners to register for single or multiple marathon days. Events run during the mild Far North Queensland winter with average daily temperatures of 25 degrees Celsius. The event operates with a daily cut off of eight hours and receives recognition from Guinness World Records and the Australian 100 Club.
