Elliot’s Revenge Trail Run : Alligator Creek, Bowling Green Bay National Park
Elliot’s Revenge is the second event in the Outer Limits Trail Run Series held on Sunday, 12 April 2026 at the Alligator Creek day-use area in Bowling Green Bay National Park, near Mount Elliot, about 20 minutes south of Townsville.
The event offers three main distances:
- 6 km: short course with creek crossings and a notable hill
- 12 km: intermediate course with out-and-back sections and varied terrain
- 21 km: long course with two laps and mixed terrain; earns UTMB Index points in the 20 km category
The courses follow designated walking trails and powerline tracks with undulating terrain, single-track sections, creek crossings and sections of rocks and gravel. Trails are not overgrown and gaiters are not required. Participants should expect wet feet at creek crossings.
Entry includes a fully marked and marshalled course, professional electronic timing with a chip to keep, race bib, on-course first aid and hydration, on-course photography, post-race recovery station and finish-line refreshments. Facilities include toilets, parking marshals, food and coffee vans and a post-race barbecue run by local Scouts.
Minimum ages apply: 8 years for short distances and 12 years for longer distances. Mandatory kit for the 12 km and 21 km events includes two compression bandages, a waterproofed charged phone, a whistle, a space blanket and sufficient water and nutrition.
