Event overview
Elliot’s Revenge Trail Run takes place on Sunday 12 April 2026 at the Alligator Creek day-use area in Bowling Green Bay National Park, near Mount Elliot, Queensland. The event is part of the Outer Limits Trail Run Series and offers three distance options:
- 6 km
- 12 km
- 21 km
The course runs on designated walking trails and power line tracks with undulating terrain. The route includes several creek crossings, rocky and gravel sections, stairs and at least one significant hill with out-and-back sections. The 21 km race requires a second lap and has a mandatory cut-off to start that lap.
Entries, support and rules
Entry fees vary by distance and entry period. Minimum ages are 8 years for the shortest distance and 12 years for longer distances. Registration includes a marked and marshalled course, first aid support, electronic timing with a chip that competitors keep, on-course hydration and snack support, professional photography, a post-race recovery station and finish-line refreshments. Facilities at Race HQ include toilets, parking marshals and food and coffee vans. The event runs under a set of rules including no on-the-day registration, visible bib requirement, no shortcuts and a policy to report if a competitor does not finish.
Mandatory gear for the 12 km and 21 km events includes two compression bandages, a fully charged waterproofed phone, a whistle, a space blanket and sufficient water and nutrition. The 21 km distance earns points toward the UTMB Index in the 20 km category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
