Castle Hill Trail Run : Outer Limits
The Castle Hill Trail Run is a trail running event on 28 February 2027 that uses the trails around Castle Hill with Race HQ at Belgian Gardens State School. The event offers three marked and marshalled courses that use single track, stairs and exposed rock scramble sections. Trails are described as dry and rocky with technical climbs and descents; good trail shoes and basic trail running fitness are recommended.
Entry categories include junior and multiple adult age groups. Minimum ages are 8 years for the short distance and 12 years for the longer distances. Race entry includes a numbered bib with an electronic timing chip to keep, professional timing and results, on course first aid, on course photography, on course hydration and a post race recovery station with water and fruit. A single on course water point is provided but no cups are supplied; 11.5 km competitors must carry at least 500 ml of water on them.
The course layout loops and crosses paths across Castle Hill and is fully signed with tape, signage and marshals at junctions. Awards are presented to the top three men and women in each distance and age group prizes are allocated on the day. Participants are required to sign in and collect their bib at Race HQ before racing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
