Bay to Base : Destination Adventure
Bay to Base is a non-competitive, fully supported point-to-point trek across Magnetic Island held on 17 April 2027. The event links main hubs at Picnic Bay and Arcadia and offers multiple course lengths to follow marked trails through the island and national park.

Entry includes on-course fruit and hydration stations, a limited edition event tee collected at the finish line, on-course professional photography, bag transfer from start to finish, chartered bus transfers between ferry terminal and start/finish locations, and entry to a beachfront after-party with live music. A $5 donation from each registration is directed to Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia.
Participants must collect their own bib and sign a waiver in person. The event enforces time cut-offs based on a required walking pace of just over 2.5 km per hour; participants who miss cut-offs will be withdrawn from the supported event and may continue independently at their own risk. The event promotes biosecurity and Leave No Trace principles, operates as a plastic free event with no plastic cups on course, and asks participants to carry their own hydration system for refills.
