Event

The Town to Tower 10k is an uphill-only race from Ruthin to Moel Famau in North Wales. The next scheduled edition is on 3 October 2026. The event is organised by OutFit Personal Fitness Ltd and finishes near the Jubilee Tower at an elevation of over 550 m above sea level.

Course

The course covers a 10k route that runs from the town centre up into the Clwydian Hills. The route includes varied terrain such as lanes, trails, fields, streams and hill paths, with a steep gulley climb near the finish. The finish location provides views from the top of Moel Famau.

Entry and logistics

Entry options include a standard paid entry and a free option for certain OutFit members, with fees up to £21.50. After finishing, runners can walk back to Bwlch Penbarras in about 25-35 minutes. There is an option to purchase a bus ticket at the event to return to Ruthin. Race record times listed for 2023 are male 1:00:07 and female 1:16:54.
