Town to Tower 10k - Ruthin to Moel Famau
The Town to Tower is an uphill only 10 km race that runs from the centre of Ruthin to the Jubilee Tower on Moel Famau in the Clwydian Hills. The finish is located at the tower, at over 550 m above sea level.
The route is described as varied and includes lanes, trails, fields, streams and hills, with a notably steep gulley close to the finish. Reviews note two hilly sections and a strong final climb, and some past participants reported variable waymarking on parts of the course.
After finishing, a short walk of around 25–35 minutes leads back to Bwlch Penbarras. There is an option to purchase a bus ticket at the event to return to Ruthin and participants' vehicles. The event specifies a 5 km cut-off point at Bwlch Penbarras.
