Triathlon y Bala 2026
Triathlon y Bala 2026 is a multi‑distance triathlon event held in Bala on 06 Sep 2026. The swim begins with a water start in Llyn Tegid, with Aran Fawddwy visible from the lakeside. The event includes lake swim, bike and run legs on marked courses.

- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Standard: 1500 m swim, 37 km bike, 10 km run
- Legend (70.3): 1900 m swim, 85 km bike, 19 km run
The Standard distance is designated to host the British Championships, the Welsh Triathlon Super Series Grand Final, and an European Championship Age Group qualifier in 2026. Triathlon y Bala supports Tom Harrison House, an addiction recovery centre working with veterans, reservists, still‑serving personnel and some family members; fundraising options and charity places are noted by the organiser.
On event services include a village area with music, commentary, shopping and food, family finishes, marshals and signage, pick‑up vehicles on course, uniquely designed finisher mementos, and chip timing with live online results. Events are bilingual with services available in English and Welsh. A Closed Road Triathlon Season Pass option links guaranteed entry to Llandudno Triathlon and Triathlon y Bala, includes a series hoody and aggregated series results, and is limited to 100 places.
