Triathlon y Bala 2027
Triathlon y Bala is a multi-distance triathlon event held in Bala around Llyn Tegid. The race returns for its fourth year and features a water start in Llyn Tegid with Aran Fawddwy visible from the course. The exact event date is to be confirmed.
Distances offered:
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 19.3 km bike, 5 km run
- Standard: 1500 m swim, 37 km bike, 10 km run
- Legend 70.3: 1900 m swim, 87.3 km bike, 18.5 km run
The event includes an event village with music, commentary, shopping and food. It is described as family friendly with family finishes. On-course support includes marshals, signage and pick-up vehicles. Finishers receive uniquely designed mementos. Timing is managed with chip timing and live online results.
Triathlon y Bala supports Tom Harrison House, an addiction recovery centre for veterans and emergency service personnel. Fundraising for the charity is an available option and free charity places are available through the charity.
A Closed Road Triathlon Season Pass links this event with the Llandudno Triathlon, offering guaranteed entry to both events, a series hoody, series results and a choice of Sprint or Standard series; pass places are limited.
