Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor's 5K Run/Walk
The Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor's 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for October 17, 2026 at the Oyster Bay Community Center in Townsend Square, Oyster Bay, NY. The event serves as the kickoff for the 2026 Oyster Festival and is organized by the Town of Oyster Bay Department of Parks and Recreation together with the Greater Long Island Running Club. It is sanctioned by USATF-Long Island and is included in the USATF-LI Grand Prix with individual and team scoring.

The event supports the Life Enrichment Center at Oyster Bay, a local charitable beneficiary that provides services for older adults. Amenities listed for participants include finisher medals, a commemorative sweatshirt, food and refreshments such as bagels, bananas, snacks, water and sodas, a live DJ, free finish line photos, and a free downloadable finisher certificate. Timing is electronic and age graded by Elitefeats, and there will be a roving photographer. Personalized bibs are available for those who register at least three weeks in advance.
Awards are offered by overall place, masters and senior masters, town resident categories, age group medals, and a wheelchair award. A separate Runner's Edge Long Island Championship Challenge offers cash prizes for bona fide Nassau or Suffolk County residents. Registration fees are non refundable.
