Tour de Trail: Wyandotte County Lake Park
This event is a trail race at Wyandotte County Lake Park in Kansas City, KS. It is presented as part of the Tour de Trail series, a set of six trail races held at different Kansas City area trail systems. Distances are intended to be near 10 kilometers and may range roughly from 5.5 to 6.5 miles depending on trail conditions.
Entry fees for singular stages are listed at $50, with five dollars from each entry donated to Urban Trail Co. Race day registration is available for a higher fee in cash or check, and card payment via Venmo is accepted at a separate rate. Discounted pricing is offered for signing up for all six series races together.
Timing is done with clock timing and results will be posted on UltraSignup. Aid on course is water only and the event is cupless; participants must provide their own hydration device such as a handheld or a hydration vest. Finish-line provisions include cold fizzy water, soda, and light snacks.
Course markings will use distinctive flagging and will be explained in the pre race briefing. Alternate course options may be used if trails are closed; these can include cross country, equestrian, paved, or combined routes. Littering is prohibited and may lead to disqualification. Dogs are permitted if leashed and under control. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the full event. Podium places are awarded for first through third in woman, man, and non-binary categories and all participants receive a handmade finishers award specific to the stage.
