Tour de Trail: Wyandotte County Lake Park - Kansas City, KS
This event is a stage in the Tour De Trail series, a summer sequence of six trail races held at different Kansas City area trail systems. The Wyandotte County Lake Park stage is presented as a 10K-ish trail race; distances in the series typically range from about 5.5 to 6.5 miles depending on trail layout and conditions.
Registration for single races is listed at $50, with $5 of each entry donated to Urban Trail Co. Race day registration is offered for cash or check at $60, and Venmo or tap-to-pay credit card via Venmo for $65. There is also a discounted price for registering for all six races in the series as a package.
Timing will use clock timing and results are posted on UltraSignup. Aid on course is water only; the event is cupless so participants must carry their own hydration device such as a handheld or hydration vest. Cold fizzy water, soda and light snacks will be available at the finish.
Course marking uses distinctive flagging and will be explained before the race. Participants must follow the marked course; cutting the course or failing to follow markings may result in disqualification. Additional rules include no poles except by medical exemption, dogs allowed on leash with owner cleanup required, personal music allowed with headphones at safe volume, and a four-hour finish allowance for these races. All registrants receive a trail-specific sticker and a single piece of event swag; finishers of all six stages receive a special award. Podium awards are given for first through third in woman, man, and non-binary divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
