Tour de Trail: Wyandotte County Lake Park
This event is a trail race at Wyandotte County Lake Park in Kansas City, KS and is part of the Tour De Trail six-stage series. Individual stages aim for a 10K distance range; course lengths vary by trail and conditions and typically fall between about 5.5 and 6.5 miles. The series allows both runners and hikers and sets a four hour time limit to complete each race.
Entry fees are stated as $50 per race, with $5 of each entry donated to Urban Trail Co. A full-series registration option is offered for all six stages at a discounted price. Race day registration fees and alternate payment options are noted. Registration closes Fri, Jun 12 at 11:59 PM CT.
Aid stations are water only and the event is cupless; participants must carry their own hydration device such as a handheld or hydration vest to use aid station water. Cold fizzy water, soda and light snacks will be available at the finish area. Timing uses clock timing and results will be posted on UltraSignup.
The course will be marked with distinctive flagging and explained in a pre-race briefing. Alternate course options may be used if trails are closed; organizers work with Urban Trail Co and land managers on trail access. Event rules include no littering (littering may result in disqualification), no poles except by medical exemption, dogs leashed and cleaned up after, and child accompaniment requirements. Participants receive trail-specific stickers and a handmade finishers award; completing all six stages is required to earn the series finisher award.
