Tour de Trail: Lexington Lake - DeSoto, KS
Tour de Trail: Lexington Lake is a trail race held in DeSoto, Kansas at Lexington Lake (9000 Sunflower Road). The event is part of the 2026 Tour de Trail series, a collection of six trail races hosted at different Kansas City area trail systems over the summer. Series races are generally in the 10k range and may vary between about 5.5 miles and 6.5 miles depending on trail conditions; the Lexington Lake stage is presented as a 10k.
Individual race registration is listed at $50, with $5 of each entry donated to Urban Trail Co, a local trail stewardship organization. Race day registration is available for an increased fee and organizers accept cash, check, and Venmo or card payments via Venmo. Results are recorded with clock timing and posted on UltraSignup.
Aid stations provide water only; participants must carry their own hydration device since the event is cupless. Finish-area refreshments include cold fizzy water, soda, and light snacks. Course markings use distinctive flagging and will be explained before the race. Road crossings remain open and runners are responsible for crossing safely. Dogs are permitted on leash and must be controlled and cleaned up after. Race rules require following the marked course, no poles except by exemption, no alcohol in county parks, and packing out litter. Podium awards are given for the top three woman, man, and non-binary finishers, and all participants receive a handmade finishers award specific to the stage.
