Shawnee Mission Triathlon and Duathlon : event details
The event takes place at Shawnee Mission Park in Lenexa, Kansas, on Sunday, August 2, 2026. It includes multiple triathlon distances, a duathlon, and relay team options. The course uses park roads and the Mill Creek Streamway Trail with asphalt pathways along the stream and through hillside forests. The event is a USA Triathlon Kansas State Championship for 2026; the top 35% of finishers in the Short Course and Olympic Triathlons qualify for USA Triathlon Nationals. The race is designated as Paratriathlon Friendly and the adaptive division is listed as the Individual Adaptive Open Division. - Triathlon - Short: 500 m swim, 9 mi bike (2 laps), 3.1 mi run
- Triathlon - Super Sprint: 200 m swim, 4.5 mi bike (1 lap), 2.25 mi run (athletes 11 and older)
- Duathlon: 3.1 mi run, 13.5 mi bike (3 laps), 3.1 mi run; run loop runs counterclockwise then clockwise, bike is three laps on the main park road.
