Tour de Trail: Cedar Niles - Olathe, KS
Tour de Trail: Cedar Niles is a 10k-ish trail race in Olathe, Kansas and one stage of a six-race Tour de Trail series. The courses in the series aim to approximate 10k and typically range from 5.5-6.5 miles depending on trail conditions. For each singular race the entry fee is $50, with $5 from each entry donated to Urban Trail Co. Race day registration is available for a higher fee and accepts cash, check, Venmo, or tap-to-pay credit via Venmo. Results are recorded with clock timing and posted on UltraSignup.
Aid on course is water only and the event is cupless; participants must provide their own hydration device such as a handheld or hydration vest to use aid stations. Finish-line provisions include cold fizzy water, soda, and light snacks. A 4-hour time limit is in effect. Course markings will be explained in the pre-race briefing. The event enforces rules against littering and alcohol in county parks, prohibits poles except for medical exemptions, and requires dogs to be leashed and cleaned up after. Personal music devices are allowed with headphones at a volume that permits hearing others. Passing etiquette and responsible road crossings are required. Each registrant receives a trail-specific sticker and one piece of series swag; athletes who complete all six races receive a special finisher award.
