About the race
The Armourdale 5K Run and Walk is organized by the Armourdale Renewal Association (ARA), a nonprofit focused on youth programs, community development, and local initiatives in the Armourdale neighborhood of Kansas City. The association aims to strengthen connections and support for residents and families.
The event features a flat 5K course through Armourdale. For 2026 the course starts and finishes on the Rock Island Bridge, so the route crosses above the city and passes near the Kansas City skyline.
T-shirts and participation medals are provided to registered participants. Age group awards will be presented to top finishers in each age group. T-shirts are not guaranteed for sign ups after 9/14/26; shirts for later registrants will be distributed on a first come, first served basis following the race.
Practical details include the organizer and the event location at 1799 American Royal Drive, Kansas City, MO 64106, USA. Registration opens 3/25/2026 and the registration fee is $30.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
