Tour de Trail: Big Bull Creek Park
Tour de Trail: Big Bull Creek Park is a 10K-ish trail race held at Big Bull Creek Park in Edgerton, KS (33532 W 213th St). The event is part of the Tour de Trail series, which stages six trail races over the summer that typically range from about 5.5 to 6.5 miles.
Registration for a single race is listed at $50, with $5 from each entry donated to Urban Trail Co. Race day registration is available for $60 cash or check, or $65 via Venmo/CC. Registration closes on July 17. Clock timing will be used and results will be posted on UltraSignup.
Aid on course is water only; this is a cupless event, so participants must provide their own hydration device such as a handheld or hydration vest. Cold fizzy water, soda, and light snacks will be available at the finish.
The event uses marked single-track courses; participants must follow the course as marked and backtrack if they go off course. Dogs are allowed on leash and handlers must pick up after them. Poles are not allowed except by medical exemption, alcohol is prohibited in Johnson County parks, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Personal music devices are permitted with headphones and at a volume that allows awareness of other users; speakers are prohibited. Littering may result in disqualification.
Each participant receives a race-specific sticker and a handmade finishers award. Athletes who complete all six races in the series receive a special finishers award; completion, not registration, is required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
