Tour de Trail: Big Bull Creek Park
This event is a trail race held at Big Bull Creek Park in Edgerton, KS. It is presented as part of the Tour de Trail series, a set of six races held at different area trails during the summer. Each stage is intended to be near a 10K distance; courses in the series typically range from about 5.5 to 6.5 miles. Runners and hikers are allowed and participants are given up to four hours to complete the course.
Registration for a single race is listed at $50, with $5 of each entry donated to Urban Trail Co. Race day registration options include $60 by cash or check and a Venmo or card option for $65. A discounted price is offered for registering for all six races together under the series terms.
Timing will be by clock and results will be posted on UltraSignup. Aid stations provide water only; this is a cupless event, so participants must bring their own hydration device such as a handheld or hydration vest. Cold fizzy water, soda, and light snacks will be available at the finish.
Course and conduct rules include following marked flagging, no poles except by prior exception, no alcohol in county parks, leashed dogs only, no littering, and potential disqualification for cutting the course. Alternate courses may be used if trails are closed due to weather or conditions. Awards include first, second, and third podiums for women, men, and non binary categories and a handmade finisher award for all participants.
