Tour de Gourd
Tour de Gourd is the second Damariscotta Pumpkinfest 5k run and 3k walk held on 10/12/2026 in Newcastle and downtown Damariscotta, Maine. Both events follow similar routes through the downtown area and on nearby residential streets.
The route begins with a downtown segment on Main Street where a road closure is in place. After that initial portion the course continues on quiet back streets that remain open to traffic. The finish is in downtown Damariscotta, about 0.25 miles from the start. The course includes a final kilometer that descends to Elm Street Plaza and the winning giant pumpkin.
Event timing and registration details differ by event. The run is chip timed; the walk is untimed and the 3K walk typically takes around 40 minutes to complete. Registration opens 8/11/2026 and closes 10/10/2026. Registration fees stated by the organizer are $25.00 for the 5K run and $10.00 for the 3K walk.
