Bath at Play's Spring Colors 5k and Half-k Color Run
The event takes place in Bath, Maine, with activities centered at Bridge Park on the banks of the Kennebec River. It offers colorful, un-timed running options that combine light activity with volunteer-staffed color stations along the route.
Distances offered:
- 5k out-and-back through Commercial, Front, Bowery, Washington, and Park Streets
- Half-k loop around Bridge Park and the Bath Visitors Center
- Virtual 5k and virtual Half-k options for remote participants
The 5k is an out-and-back course through downtown Bath. Volunteers are positioned at intersections to guide participants and apply colored powder made from food-grade cornstarch with biodegradable pigments. The half-k course is a short waterfront loop designed for smaller or very young runners; participants may complete multiple laps on that loop.
Both courses are on paved streets or sidewalks and are described as stroller friendly. Bicycles are not allowed on either course. Dogs are permitted but are likely to be affected by the color stations.
Limited edition event t-shirts are available for pre-order, with a limited number for purchase on race morning.
