Spring Colors 5k and Half-k Color Run
Bath at Play stages an un-timed community color run on Sunday, May 17, 2026, centered at Bridge Park on the banks of the Kennebec River in downtown Bath. The event features two course options and volunteers who apply colored powder along the route.
- 5k out-and-back course through scenic downtown Bath.
- Half-k shorter waterfront loop for younger runners; participants may repeat loops.
The color powder used is food-grade cornstarch with biodegradable color pigments. Both courses are on paved streets or sidewalks and are stroller friendly; bicycles are not allowed. Dogs may attend but are likely to become colorful during the run.
Registration details include an early-bird period from March 1 through April 15, with adult registration at $35 and child registration at $10. Families of three or more receive a $5 per person discount, and early-bird registration carries a $5 discount before April 15, 2026. Limited edition Bath at Play T-shirts will be available; sizes can be pre-ordered during registration.
Parking is available along Washington Street and at the permit lot adjacent to the Bath Police Department; posted signs and local restrictions apply.
