Spring Colors 5k and Half-k Color Run
The Spring Colors event returns to Bath, Maine, for a community fun run centered around Bridge Park on the banks of the Kennebec River. This un-timed event focuses on inclusion and play, featuring volunteers stationed along the route to douse participants in food-grade, biodegradable colored powder.
The event offers two distinct course options:
- 5k: A 3.1-mile out-and-back course that travels through scenic downtown Bath and along the riverfront.
- Half-k: A shorter loop course along the waterfront designed for younger participants, who are permitted to complete multiple loops.
The courses are set on paved streets and sidewalks, making them accessible for jogging strollers. For safety reasons, bicycles are not permitted on either course. Participants are encouraged to wear white clothing to better display the colored powder. Dogs are allowed to join the run but will likely be covered in powder by the end of the route.
The event starts and finishes at Bridge Park. Parking is available on Washington Street and in the permit lot next to the Bath Police Department. Limited edition t-shirts are available for pre-order or purchase on the day of the event, and sunglasses with straps are offered as registration add-ons. Proceeds from the event support initiatives to expand inclusive play in the region. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
