Spring Colors 5k and Half-k Color Run : Bath at Play
Bath at Play presents the Spring Colors fun run on Sunday May 17, 2026 at Bridge Park on the banks of the Kennebec River in Bath, Maine. The event features an un-timed 5k course through downtown Bath and a shorter waterfront Half-k loop designed for children. Volunteers and spectators will distribute puffs of colored powder along the route; the powder is food-grade cornstarch with biodegradable pigments.
Participants begin and end their runs at Bridge Park. The 5k is an out-and-back route along scenic riverfront streets. Children may complete multiple laps of the Half-k loop; if an adult and child are registered for the same event they will start together. Both courses use paved streets or sidewalks and are stroller friendly; jogging strollers with covers are recommended for easier clean-up. Bicycles are not permitted on either course. Dogs are allowed and may also become colored during the event.
Registration fees listed for 2026 are $35 for adults and $10 for children under 18, with a family discount and an early-bird discount available before April 15, 2026. Limited edition Bath at Play T-shirts will be available for purchase on race day and pre-order during registration.
