Tough Gal Team Challenge - Rotorua
The Tough Gal Team Challenge is a women only team obstacle event held at Lakes Ranch in Rotorua on Saturday 22 August 2026. Teams consist of three women who complete an approximately 6 km course (one lap); distance may vary between venues but is equated by expected time to a flat 6 km cross country effort.
The outdoor course uses rugged terrain that can include farmland and natural bushland. Obstacles include mud pits, climbing walls, crawling tunnels and similar features. Obstacles are designed to be achievable for a range of abilities; competitors may skip an obstacle but skipping makes a team ineligible for podium placings. The event does not include any electrified obstacles.
Age eligibility is 13 years and above for the Tough Gal Team Challenge. Footwear must be fully covered shoes; football or rugby boots with moulded studs are acceptable. Running spikes or boots with aluminium studs are not permitted. Personalised race numbers are available if entry is completed at least three weeks before the event.
Entries are sold per team with tiered online pricing: standard, late online and event day in person fees. Entrants receive a finishers medal, personalised race number, first aid and event support, and electronic timing. Venue facilities listed for competitors include hot showers, a hot swimming pool and parking.
