XTERRA Rotorua Festival
XTERRA Rotorua Festival is scheduled for Apr 10, 2027 at Lake Tikitapu in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. The event is organised by XTERRA and is part of the XTERRA World Tour and the XTERRA Trail Run World Series. The venue includes Lake Tikitapu and surrounding Whakarewarewa Forest. The festival offers multiple race formats and distances, including:
- Full Distance Triathlon: Swim 1K, Bike 26K, Run 11K
- Short Distance Triathlon: Swim 500m, Bike 9.1K, Run 5.5K
- Full Distance Duathlon: Bike 26K, Run 11K
- 26K MTB: 26K mountain bike
- Trail Half Marathon: 21K
- 11K Trail Run: 11K
- 5.5K Trail Run: 5.5K short course
Course grading spans easy, intermediate and difficult sections. The event lists an elite prize purse of NZ$10,000 and 28 World Championship slots. Age rules state that Individual and Team XTERRA events require competitors to be 14 years or older; the 21K event also requires entrants to be 14 or older. There is no age requirement for the 5.5K and 11K events, but children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Entries are non refundable but may be deferred or transferred; if the event is cancelled for health, safety or natural disasters, entry fees will not be refunded.
