This event takes place at Totara Park near Auckland and uses the park's native bush and rolling hills. Courses start on a wide path that follows the tree line and move into forested single trails passing Totara trees; routes include repeated bush loops and sections of hard-packed trail. Drink stations provide PURE electrolyte hydration, water and snacks at multiple km marks. The event is cup free; participants must bring a reusable cup, hydration pack or bottle. Collapsible cups and soft flasks are available for purchase at registration.

Course safety notes emphasize personal responsibility for long distances. Event medics are stationed at the event base and marshals with first aid may be on course. Organizers recommend a hydration pack with at least 500 ml and basic safety items such as a phone, whistle and extra clothing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
