Event Overview
Total Coastal offers three distances along the South West Coast Path in South Devon. The events are:
- 50 km Ultra from Kingswear to Shaldon.
- Half Marathon (21.1 km) from Preston Green to Shaldon.
- 10 km from Babbacombe Downs to Shaldon.
Routes
All three events use the South West Coast Path. The 50 km route is multi-terrain, with approximately 75% on trails and some sections on country lanes and tarmac, particularly between Goodrington Beach and Torquay Harbour. It features approximately 2,134 meters (7,000 ft) of ascent.
The Half Marathon route is also multi-terrain, with around 75% on trails. It includes a tarmac section from the start to Torquay Harbour before moving mainly onto trails.
The 10 km route is 99% trails.
Facilities and Services
It is a cupless event; runners must bring their own cup or bottle. Aid stations are provided:

- Half Marathon: Two aid stations at Meadfoot Beach Car Park and Maidencombe Car Park.
- 10 km: One aid station at Maidencombe.

All finishers receive a bespoke medal.
