Total Coastal
Total Coastal is a point-to-point multi-terrain running event held on the South West Coast Path in South Devon. Participants follow the coastline with the sea on their right, utilizing existing Acorn signposts and additional event markers for navigation. The event features a mix of hilly off-road trails and occasional tarmac sections, concluding at The Ness in Shaldon with views across the River Teign.

The 50 km route begins in Kingswear and involves 7,000 ft of total ascent. It includes technical coast path sections through Berry Head and Brixham Harbour, a tarmac stretch between Goodrington Beach and Torquay Harbour, and a final 6-mile segment of hilly trails. The Half Marathon starts at Preston Green, featuring 3,000 ft of ascent, while the 10 km begins on Babbacombe Downs with 1,700 ft of ascent and is composed of 99% trails.
This is a cupless event, requiring all participants to carry their own hydration vessels. Mandatory kit includes a mobile phone with race director contact details, a hydration pack, the route GPX on a device, and emergency funds. Ultra and Half Marathon participants have the option of a morning coach transfer from the finish in Shaldon to their respective start lines. All finishers receive a bespoke medal.
