Torpedo SwimRun Plaisir 2026
Torpedo SwimRun stages a swimrun event at Plaisir Wine Estate in Franschhoek to coincide with Heritage Day. Routes combine trail running and open water swims across dams and along scenic estate paths, and the event is presented as family friendly.
Three courses are offered for different age groups and distances:
- 14 km Long Course (12+ years)
- 6 km Short Course (12+ years)
- 2.5 km Kids Sprint Course (6+ years) Recommend a parent or guardian join
Required gear includes running shoes and a whistle. Wetsuits, goggles, hand paddles and pool buoys are optional. R100 from each entry fee is allocated to the Banhoek Conservancy to support protecting indigenous biodiversity, creating employment through conservation work, removing invasive species and releasing water back into tributaries of the Berg River.
On site there is free parking and food will be available for purchase. Special rates on Plaisir wines are offered to participants on the day. A post race wine tasting experience is available on the estate lawns beneath oak trees with views of the Simonsberg Mountains. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
