Torpedo SwimRun Plaisir 2026
Torpedo SwimRun Plaisir takes place on 24 September 2026 at Plaisir Wine Estate near Simondium in the Western Cape. The event combines alternating running and swimming sections along trails and across dams within the estate.
Three courses are offered:
- Long Course: 14 km (13+ years)
- Short Course: 6 km (13+ years)
- Kids Sprint Course: 2.5 km (6+ years) Recommend having a parent or guardian join.
Required gear listed for participants includes running shoes and a whistle. Wetsuits, goggles, hand paddles and a pool buoy are optional equipment choices.
R100 from each entry fee will be donated to the Banhoek Conservancy. That initiative focuses on protecting indigenous biodiversity, creating employment through conservation work, removing invasive species to restore ecosystems, and releasing water back into tributaries of the Berg River.
Facilities at the venue include free parking, food for sale and special rates on Plaisir wines for participants. A post-race Plaisir wine tasting experience is available on the estate, which features lawns beneath oak trees and views of the Simonsberg Mountains.
