About the race
The Pebbles Project Open Day Fun Run/Walk is a community event at Villiera Wine Farm in Stellenbosch organised by the Pebbles Project Trust. Participants follow a single 4.5 km route and may run or walk at their own pace. Ticket fees for the Fun Run/Walk are R100 for adults and R50 for children; the fee includes refreshments and finish line prizes. Funds raised support children from rural farming communities in the Western Cape.
The Fun Run/Walk is the opening activity for a larger Open Day that is free and open to everyone without a ticket. The Open Day programme includes fun activities for all ages, tours and information tables about Pebbles Project programmes and services, stalls, opportunities to meet the Pebbles team, and the official launch of a new Youth Development Centre. The ticket fee applies only to the Fun Run/Walk; attendance at the rest of the Open Day does not require a ticket.
The event is presented as family friendly and suitable for mixed groups of runners, walkers, families and friends. The venue is listed as Villiera Wine Farm in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
